Sony's Venice 2 has become an extremely popular choice for film makers. Even top DP’s that have long preferred film are choosing to shoot with Venice 2. In this workshop we will take a look at some of the many reasons why VENICE 2 is proving so popular. Learn about all of it’s different scan modes from 8.6K Full Frame to 5.6K Super 35. See how the dual ISO mode works - many top DP’s are choosing to shoot at 3200 ISO to gain a more pleasing aesthetic for moody drama scenes or to allow lower light levels to be used.

Alister Chapman 
Alister Chapman is a UK based cinematographer with over 30 years of experience in broadcast television and film production. He has filmed and produced content for everything from corporate video to TV news, adventure sports to feature films. During his career he has always worked at the cutting edge of new technologies including stereoscopic and early HDR production as well as developing some of the very first miniature cameras for motorsports. As well as working as a cinematographer Alister has extensive post production experience, helping to establish one of the UK's first professional non-linear edit facilities where he then worked as an editor and colourist. Today, Alister produces high end demo content for TV manufacturers, stock footage that is frequently used in feature films and natural history specials, as well as many short films. Alister is a Sony Ambassador and runs the independent website xdcam-user.com where he openly shares his many years of experience and knowledge.
